SRN Adarsh College is part of Adarsh Group of Institutions, which was established in 1971. The college is affiliated to Bangalore University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is ISO 9001-2000 certified. In the life sciences stream the college offers MSc in biotechnology. 
The state-of-the-art laboratory at the college is well-equipped with modern lab equipments that facilitate research activities of the biotech students. As part of the curriculum, students are given practical and acadmical training for developing their skills and expertise in various streams of biotechnology.
