Sodexo Healthcare Technology Management will provide maintenance services for biomedical equipment

Sodexo India has introduced a path-breaking initiative -Sodexo Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), a mobile-app based service which will provide maintenance services for biomedical equipment and its life cycle management in partnership with Association of Healthcare Providers (India).

The service is aimed at offering relief to the overburdened small and medium healthcare facilities, diagnostic centers, and laboratories, which are heavily dependent on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for asset management services in the absence of a dedicated in-house team of professionals. Sodexo HTM makes available professional technical help at an affordable price within a response time of 24 hours. Launched in phase 1 in West Bengal, the expansion plan includes other regions like Northeast, Orissa, and rest of India by the end of the next fiscal year.

Backed by nearly two decades of global expertise in managing medical equipment lifecycle, Sodexo India forayed into this field in 2017. Sodexo was awarded the contract for the Presidency division of West Bengal state, covering 6 District Hospitals, 8 Healthcare Districts, 10 Medical Colleges & Hospitals and 464 Healthcare Facilities. Today, with a team of 150+ biomedical engineers, Sodexo is overlooking asset tagging, user training, breakdown & preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and relocation of 60,000+ medical types of equipment for which, the company is ISO 13485: 2016 certified.

Speaking at the launch event, Sambit Sahu – Segment Director, Sodexo Healthcare, India stated, “The changing medical technology landscape, improving healthcare delivery and strong competition from the large private sector healthcare providers has led to a rise in patient expectations. With Sodexo HTM, we are providing leverage to the small hospitals and diagnostics centres with our maintenance services that are real-time, competitive, and world-class, helping them focus on their core jobs. A well-trained team of engineers and a fully equipped lab with 3000+ spares and accessories will ensure impeccable repairs and maintenance of the medical equipment in West Bengal region”.
