Naveen Patnaik, chief minister of the state, released the state's draft Biotech policy 2005 at a three-day workshop “biotechnology-potentials for development in Orissa. Other parks in the pipeline include a marine biotech park at Chilika, pharma-biotech park at Bolangir-Bargarh, medicinal plant and R&D and processing units at Baripada and Jeypore in Koraput and Sambalpur.
