Spinco Biotech has been a biosupplier to analytical and life science laboratories across India, with a network of 22 offices and 220 plus professionals. Started in 1981, Spinco Biotech celebrated its silver jubilee year in 2006. The company has to its credit over 6,500 Shimadzu HPLC installations. It has four Strategic Business Units (SBUs) focusing on chromatography, life sciences, general laboratory (freeze dryers) and chemistry products.

The chromatography SBU exclusively represents global leaders in HPLC instrumentation including Shimadzu (HPLC/LCMS); Polymer Laboratories (ELSD); AntecLeyden (electrochemical detector/systems); IN/US (radio chromatography detectors); and Wyatt (MALLA detector). Shimadzu's flagship HPLC Prominence is a performance system, which captured 1000 installations in India within two years. The Prominence UFLC delivers ultra-fast capability with flexibility to use as regular HPLC. The LC2010HT high throughput integrated system with an installed base of over 1,500 systems is used by many QC and GLP laboratories.

The life science SBU is the growth engine for Spinco. It is focused to offer comprehensive solutions to genomics, proteomics and drug discovery segments. Spinco's genomics range includes Affymetrix GeneChip systems/array/reagents, which is the Gold Standard Microarray technology for gene expression, genotyping and resequencing applications. The proteomics range includes Kratos Analytical MALDI TOF/TOF analyzers, Shimadzu Biotech RD LC/Xcise 3-in-1 gel processor/Accuspot/chemical inkjet printer ChIP/protein sequencer/DeNova Ultra HT 384 capillary DNA sequencer. Wyatt Technology Dynapro protein characterization instruments, AAPPTEC Peptide/Organic Synthesizers, Wako Pure reagents are also supplied under Spinco Biotech's Life Science program.

The general laboratory SBU focuses on the entire SP Industries, USA, range of products including VirTis/FTS Lab/Pilot/Production freeze dryers, Hull cGMP Production Lyos, Hotpack Sterilizers/Glassware washers; Wilmad NMR tubes. The other products include Foss NIR Systems, Peak Scientific Gas Generators; Omni, USA Homogenizers; ACS, USA Animal Care Systems.

The chemistry SBU promotes HPLC/GC columns from Phenomenex, USA and Chiral columns from Daicel, Japan. Columns and consumables/spares are delivered ex-stock in Indian Rupees through ISO 9001 certified Spincotech warehouse at Chennai. Spinchrom Life Sciences is the customs bonded warehouse facility of Spinco Biotech focusing on columns, consumables and reagent supplies.
