Indian Medical Aesthetic Devices Market is projected to reach $2.67 billion by 2028

The Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine World Congress (AMWC) India 2023, the inaugural Indian edition of the globally renowned AMWC event series, made its debut recently in Mumbai. This annual groundbreaking event, organised by Informa Markets in India, is reshaping India's Aesthetic Medicine Industry in the coming years. 

Fostering knowledge exchange, networking, innovation adoption, and industry growth while ensuring safe and high-quality patient care, AMWC India is playing a crucial role in advancing the aesthetics and anti-ageing medicine industry in India.

The inaugural ceremony of the debut show was marked by the presence of international and domestic experts, including Dr Woffles Wu (Singapore), Dr Chytra Anand (India), Dr Jamuna Pai (India), Dr Anjali Mukherji, Dr Gopinath Shenoy, Mandira Bedi, Dr Ryan Fernando, Yasmin Karachiwala along with Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India and Rahul Deshpande, Sr Group Director, Informa Markets in India.

AMWC India is an extension of the globally renowned Aesthetic & Anti-Ageing Medicine World Congress (AMWC) that originated in Monaco in 2003. 

Key exhibitors such as Allergan Healthcare, Aakaar Medical Technologies, BNC Global, ExoCoBio,  Benev Eunsung Global, Dermakor, A.Menarini India, BTL Aesthetics, Spectra Medicals, Leader Healthcare India and many more made their presence felt amidst the attendees, including aesthetic practitioners, dermatologists and plastic surgeons. 

Emphasising on India’s evolving medical aesthetics landscape Dr Chytra Anand, Founder of Kosmoderma & SkinQ Dermacare and President of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic Doctors said “The Indian Medical Aesthetic Devices Market is expected to reach $2.67 billion by 2028, with a CAGR of 13.28%. This growth is driven by factors like increasing obesity prevalence, which is projected to reach over 16% by 2040, leading to a surge in demand for body sculpting and cellulite treatment procedures. Furthermore, the India Anti-Ageing market is set to grow at a CAGR of 9% from 2023 to 2028.”

The conference programme and live streaming sessions, crafted by experts spanning diverse aesthetic and anti-ageing domains, covered a wide spectrum of topics on its opening day. These encompassed sessions such as 'Injecting Confidence: Exploring the Latest Innovations & Techniques in Aesthetic Injectables'; 'Unmasking the Science of Pigmentation: Investigating the Latest Breakthroughs in Treatment & Management’, to name a few.
