Fujifilm and NM Medical launch Skill Lab for full field digital mammography in India

The first ever partnership is set to equip healthcare professionals with skills that revolutionise mammography practice

Fujifilm India Healthcare Division, in collaboration with NM Medical Mumbai, has recently launched its first Fujifilm Skill Lab aimed at providing advanced training in FFDM (full-field digital mammography) technologies for radiologists and radiographers. The inaugural session witnessed the participation of eight candidates, comprising four radiologists and four radiographers.

The Fujifilm Mammography Skill Development Programme is designed to empower radiographers and radiologists to enhance their skills and deliver improved diagnoses to their patients and customers using technologically advanced mammography machines by Fujifilm.

Chander Shekhar Sibal, Vice President & HOD, Healthcare Business, FUJIFILM India, voiced, "The Fujifilm Mammography Skill Development Program represents a pivotal initiative aimed at empowering radiographers and radiologists to elevate their expertise and capabilities in mammography. Dr Shilpa Lad, Consultant Breast Imaging & Intervention, shared insights into the program, stating, “Fujifilm Mammography Skill Development programme in collaboration with NM Medical, Mumbai, will enhance patient care by providing radiologists with training in cutting-edge mammography technology. The comprehensive skill development programme provides hands-on training with practical applications covering all aspects of mammography, from patient positioning to advanced imaging procedures emphasising imaging techniques, technology overview, and hands-on experience, that will help radiologists and radiographers stay up to date with the latest advancements in mammography and advanced applications such as 3D Tomosynthesis. We work to improve women health care standards and provide training opportunities which benefits healthcare professionals and translates into high quality patient care.”
