US-based medtech firm ResMed has announced the launch of its Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Symposium initiative, a knowledge series for healthcare professionals across Indian metros.

Developed in continuance with ResMed’s sleep awareness initiative “Awaken Your Best”, the series kickstarted with symposiums in key Indian cities – Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad to further the importance of recognising sleep apnea as a key disorder impacting the well-being of Indians. With participation from over 250 leading sleep specialists as of now, the series also spotlights OSA and associated breathing disorders.  

The symposium series, aligned with India’s Digital Health Mission, extends ResMed’s initiative focused on increasing awareness of sleep disorders among healthcare professionals and promoting digital connectivity for real-time access to remote monitoring and out-of-hospital care.

With the next leg in Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru, the initiative enables attendees to understand and gain hands-on experience with various therapies and innovative technologies.

As part of the knowledge series, ResMed is showcasing AirView, the remote patient data monitoring software and Onesleeptest (OST), a revolutionary at-home sleep test kit, facilitating pulmonologists and sleep specialists to access real-time sleep data for diagnostics and sleep care management. These advanced cloud-connected solutions by ResMed redefine and ease the process for caregivers to effectively help patients stay comfortable and receive full benefits of the therapy.
