Supported with a generous contribution by HiMedia Labs

Wadhwani Research Centre for Bioengineering (WRCB) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the opening of a Bioinnovation Laboratory, inaugurated by Dr G.M. Warke, Founder of HiMedia Laboratories

This world-class cell culture and molecular biology facility, made possible through the generous contribution of HiMedia, is envisioned to empower WRCB projects, the IIT Bombay ecosystem, and industry partners, while fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in research.

The celebration also featured key milestones:

  • MoU signing between WRCB and MEDISPEC
  • Launch of the Open SPR System (MEDISPEC (I)), marking the laboratory's first industry–academia collaboration

As WRCB opens doors to this new lab, groundbreaking discoveries, stronger partnerships, and transformative bioengineering innovations will follow soon after.
