In a significant move towards further advancement in eye care, the LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) inaugurated its new Pharmacology Research Centre, named 'Dr Chigurupati Nageswara Rao Ocular Pharmacology Research Centre' at its Kallam Anji Reddy Campus in Hyderabad, Telangana.
This transformative initiative, backed by Granules India, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Hyderabad, solidifies LVPEI's position as a pioneer in advancing eye care treatments.
Named in honour of the late Dr Chigurupati Nageswara Rao, Former Chairman of Granules India and a distinguished surgeon from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, this state-of-the-art centre is poised to revolutionise the landscape of ocular pharmacological research in India.
With a mission to delve into the intricacies of ocular diseases, understand drug interactions with pathogens, and pioneer personalised eye care treatments, the facility is set to make waves in the field.
The centre's ambitious goals spans from comprehending the therapeutic effects of medicines to refining drug dosages and creating innovative drugs for medical treatments.
