Amneal Pharmaceuticals injects Rs 135 Cr to open new office in Ahmedabad

Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a US-based global biopharmaceutical company, has inaugurated its new administrative office in Ahmedabad, supporting its teams in India and strengthening collaboration across its global business.

The new office represents a project investment of approximately Rs 135 crore ($15 million). Located on Cliantha Road, Ahmedabad, the new office spans approximately 3.35 lakh square feet and will accommodate approximately 1,200 employees.

Designed to support Amneal’s expanding workforce, the facility will bring key teams together, strengthen collaboration and provide additional infrastructure for the company’s operations in India.

Over the years, Amneal has steadily expanded its capabilities in India across manufacturing, research and development, quality and commercial operations, including its commercial office in Mumbai. These operations are an integral part of Amneal’s global network, which spans the United States, India and Ireland. This August, the company acquired Kashiv BioSciences, further expanding Amneal’s global biosimilar development and manufacturing capabilities. 

Amneal is also advancing plans for two greenfield manufacturing facilities in Gujarat focused on peptide synthesis and sterile fill-finish manufacturing. These projects are part of the company’s broader investment in capabilities to support its future portfolio.

The new office supports Amneal’s broader strategy to strengthen its global capabilities and expand access to high-quality, affordable medicines.
