For development of training modules in AI in healthcare

HOSMAC, Asia’s leading hospital planning, design, and management consultancy, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE, to serve as an industry partner. This strategic academic-industry synergy aims to enrich healthcare education by integrating real-world exposure with academic learning.

As part of the MoU, HOSMAC will offer internships and short-term placements to students of the Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare (TCMAIH) at GMU. Senior leaders and domain experts from HOSMAC will also contribute as guest lecturers, guiding students on case studies and thesis work, and sharing on-ground perspectives from the healthcare infrastructure domain.

Furthermore, the partnership will facilitate joint research initiatives, development of training modules in AI in healthcare, and faculty exchange programmes, furthering the shared mission of advancing healthcare innovation and leadership.

Speaking about the partnership, Dr Vivek Desai, Founder and Managing Director, HOSMAC, said, “This MoU is a step towards creating future-ready healthcare professionals who are trained not just in theory, but also in the real-world complexities of healthcare systems.”

This collaboration further deepens a long-standing relationship—HOSMAC had earlier designed the University Hospital at Gulf Medical University in Ajman, a state-of-the-art facility that integrates education, research, and patient care.
