Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amity University to develop academics links in the fields of medical sciences, healthcare, nutrition, life sciences and social sciences.

The MoU has been sigend for a period of three years, and will be renewed therafter.

The key objectives of the MoU are-

• To promote contacts among scholars, students and personnel of both institutions.
• To provide opportunities for faculty, students, staff, scientists through organising seminars, workshops, brainstorming sessions etc.
• To work jointly for the common research interest at national and international levels. This includes preparation of proposals and their implementation as per the National Health Priorities.

As per the MoU, students working in ICMR or using ICMR facilities may be enrolled for Ph D programmes to be awarded by Amity University on the concession of 90% on their total fee. PhD students working at Amity may carry out a part of their research work in ICMR institutes or centers and vice-versa depending upon requirements.

Also, scientists of ICMR may deliver lectures in areas of their specialisation students of AU as visiting faculty on days and timings pre- arranged on mutual consent. ICMR institutions or centers will aprovide regular short term project training to the students of Amity in their areas of specialisation and vice versa.
