The 2nd phase of Biotech Finishing School (BTFS), renamed as Biotechnology Skill Enhancement Programme (BiSEP) is inviting online applications for admissions to job-oriented one year Post-Graduate Diploma courses that provide for job-ready workforce to the Biotechnology Industry. The courses offer a fellowship of Rs 10,000 per month.
Bioinformatics & Big Data Analytics, Biopharmaceutical Technology, Cellular & Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical Research & Data Management, Fermentation & Bioprocessing, Multi-OMICs Technology, Nutraceuticals & Food Processing, Plant Genetic Engineering and Protein Expression & Scale-up are the courses being offered.
50 per cent of the seats are reserved for Resident students of Karnataka. Reservations under OBCs/SC/ST/ and Hyderabad - Karnataka region are also provided.
The eligibility requirements include M.Sc in Biotech/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics or any other Life sciences related courses; or B.E/B.Tech (Biotech/ Bioinformatics) or B.Pharma/B.Sc (Agri)/ B.Vsc. or any 4 years degree courses in Life Science and subjects with minimum 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination (40% for students belonging to SC/ST categories).
The candidates will be selected through an online entrance test - Karnataka Biotechnology Aptitude Test (K-BAT) followed by counselling. All other details are available at www.bisep.karnataka.gov.in.
Last date for online registration, at the above mentioned website, is 7th August 2018.
The online test will be conducted on 10th & 11th August 2018.
