AstraZeneca Pharma India appoints Bedi as new MD

Drug firm AstraZeneca Pharma India stated that Gagan Singh Bedi will take over as the Managing Director of the company with effect from July 1.

The company has accepted resignation of Sanjay Murdeshwar as MD and as a director. He is shifting to a global role within the AstraZeneca group, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, US.

The Board has co-opted Gagan Singh Bedi as additional director on the board, who will take over as the Managing Director of the company.

Singh had joined AstraZeneca Pharma India in February 2006. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he had worked with Baxter India and Eli Lilly.

Singh holds a management degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University post an economics degree from Delhi University.
