Dr Pillai will work closely with the Board of Directors to drive business strategy
Dr Harish Pillai has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings Inc (MPHHI), which manages the largest private hospital network in the Philippines with 19 hospitals and 3750 beds, two allied healthcare colleges, a growing primary care network, oncology centres and a central laboratory.
Dr Pillai will work closely with the Board of Directors to direct and guide the MPHHI management team as it delivers on its clinical, service and business strategy while ensuring alignment and continual improvement in its patient experience, service development, physician and staff engagement and clinical quality.
Before joining MPHHI, Dr Pillai has helped in strategising and managing large-scale healthcare organisations that have helped deliver consistent results in clinical, service and business excellence in countries like India, Egypt and the UAE. He was previously the CEO of Aster India a unit of Aster DM Healthcare and was responsible for the network of 14 hospitals across five states, stand-alone laboratory chains, retail pharmacy and home care.
Dr Pillai is a member of the Joint Commission International (JCI) Standards Advisory Panel; Convenor International Advisory Cell of Association of Healthcare Providers (AHPI); National Chair for Medical Value Travel Committee in Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI); visiting faculty at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore & Kozhikode, Indian School of Business, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI).
