Savli Technology Business Incubator (STBI), Vadodara is an autonomous Society under Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat and is supported by BIRAC, NSTEDB, DST and state Government.

Recently, Dr Jayashankar Das has been appointed as Director of STBI. He is a dynamic genomic scientist and technocrat served as Joint Director to Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre, Joint Director to Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Scientist at DBT-IBSD.

His idea is to accelerate the present ecosystem via attracting more impactful and low cost innovation which can help to solve the societal challenges. Also, he has mentioned that at present Incubators need to focus on the modalities to overcome challenges on not only nurturing emerging ventures but also commercialization of new technologies along with establishment of strong linkages with potential stakeholders in the sector of Biotechnology and Life Sciences in India.
