Stryker names Meenakshi Nevatia as new MD for India

Stryker has announced the appointment of Meenakshi Nevatia as its new managing director of India.

In her new role, Nevatia will be responsible for building Stryker’s business strategy and setting up the organization for long-term, sustainable growth in the Indian market. Additionally, one of Nevatia’s priorities will be to cultivate a strong commitment to Stryker’s mission and values in India.

“Customers and patients are at the heart of everything we do, and I look forward to bringing together our team to do more to improve lives in India,” said Nevatia. “I also look forward to creating an environment where our people, one of our core values, can continue to thrive and grow.”

Nevatia will also be responsible for building long-term partnerships with industry bodies and government organizations and driving transparency amongst stakeholders.

Prior to joining Stryker, Nevatia had a successful 15-year stint with Novartis, where she served in various sales, marketing and business leadership positions across geographies. In her last assignment as the country president and pharma division head for Novartis in Thailand, Nevatia successfully led strong business performance. Prior to these roles, Nevatia had a successful track record of serving in various leadership positions at Novartis across Spain, Portugal, UK and Switzerland.

Nevatia’s first work assignment was with McKinsey & Company where she led various projects in the Healthcare Practice in India, Singapore, U.S. and South Africa.

Meenakshi Nevatia has a Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from the Presidency College, Kolkata.
