SJVN collaborates with HelpAge India for health camps

As per the MoU, financial assistance of Rs 32 lakh will be provided for conducting 20 health camps in the states of HP, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra.

Himachal Pradesh (HP) based Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HelpAge India for health camps in different states. SJVN is joint venture, with the HP government also having equity share in the Central Public Sector Unit.

As per the MoU, financial assistance of Rs 32 lakh will be provided for conducting 20 health camps in the states of HP, Uttarakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra. The camps are being organised in the areas of Ophthalmology, gynaecology, dental, ENT, general health etc. During the camps health awareness lectures will also be delivered by health experts.

In the area of health, SJVN is operating 14 mobile health vans in the states of HP, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra which have benefitted more than 5 lakh patients. Besides 150 health camps have been organised benefitting around over 50,000 patients.

Also, projects for disable section of society like financial assistance to Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy for construction on integrated muscular dystrophy center, construction of special school at Dhalli etc. are being implemented.
