Deploying advanced drone technology & Skye UTM for swift medical deliveries
Delhi-NCR based startup Skye Air Mobility has announced the acquisition of seven transformative contracts with government healthcare service providers across the nation. This strategic move reinforces India's commitment to becoming a global drone hub by 2030.
The prestigious institutions, including AIIMS Jodhpur (Rajasthan), AIIMS Rajkot (Gujarat), AIIMS Bhubaneswar (Odisha), AIIHPH Kolkata (West Bengal), CLTR Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu), RLTRI Bankura (West Bengal), and RLTRI Aska (Odisha), are set to benefit from Skye Air's cutting-edge drone technology.
Scheduled for completion within the next 4-5 days, the swift deployment to these locations exemplifies Skye Air's dedication to efficient service delivery. Employing their flagship StarLiner & Artemis drone models, Skye Air ensures the safe and timely transport of medical supplies using temperature-controlled boxes.
In tandem with their drone technology, Skye Air will leverage its state-of-the-art Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) software system, 'Skye UTM,' showcasing India's commitment to cutting-edge infrastructure. This system facilitates seamless coordination with multiple Air Traffic Controls (ATCs) in both rural and urban settings, offering real-time tracking and ultra-fast communication.
Ankit Kumar, Founder & CEO of Skye Air Mobility, said, "We plan to ramp up our fleet size to about 100 drones in 6 months from the current 35 as we chase growth opportunities in key areas such as healthcare and agri-commodity.”
