Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), two words to have become a nightmare for clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, public health professionals and policymakers around the globe. As the world hurtles towards a future where the most potent antibiotics in a clinician’s arsenal are rendered useless, we as a society need better regulations, better policies and better innovations.
Innovations that address the superbug threat in a way that’s never been done before, innovations that are novel, holistic and conserved!
As research and innovation efforts in the AMR space race to keep up with these fast-evolving – deadly bugs, there is a need to identify, nurture and amplify game changing ideas in the sector with potential for instant impact on the problem.
Bengaluru based C-CAMP, the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms, one of India’s premier bio innovation hubs has recognized the dire need for cutting-edge innovations in AMR to come to mainstream and the handholding support such ideas require to make the commercial ‘cut’.
C-CAMP has announced a C-CAMP AMR Quest, a one of its kind programs focused on attracting, identifying, rewarding and fostering innovative ideas to fight superbugs and superbug-related infections. The initiative aims to present opportunities for funding and guide these ideas through their commercialization trajectory.
“To truly tackle the AMR havoc, deep tech innovations and awareness are critical!! This C-CAMP AMR Quest will foster innovators in the domain of Antimicrobial Resistance and promote them in the global community,” said Dr. Taslimarif Syed, CEO & Director, C-CAMP.
Every such idea that will make the transition from bench to bedside is a win. Because Antimicrobial Resistance affects us all!
The Winners of the Quest that will end with a Grand Finale in April will be
Accepted into a 3-month C-CAMP Accelerator program and will be evaluated for funding by CARB-X and
