Medtech is mandated to nurture start-ups building technology-enabled healthcare solutions
Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC), a State-of-the-art Bio incubation centre initiated by Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka and supported by DBT Government of India has established the Medtech Facility supported by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) under the BioNEST program.
Medtech is mandated to nurture start-ups building technology-enabled healthcare solutions. The facility is now functional and inviting applications for the MedTech incubation. The mission at Medtech is to develop affordable products by reducing the complexity, cost of the goods and increasing the frequency of production by mainly focusing on the unmet need that is in demand globally.
The society around us are going towards Digitalisation. Keeping this in mind BBC provides the assistance in 3 major categories of Medical Technologies i.e. Medical Device Prototyping, In-vitro Diagnostics & Digital Health Solutions.
The facility comprises of high class instrumentation facility (Electronics Prototyping tools, Software tools & Mechanical tools) with well organised bench spaces/Lab suits. Entrepreneurs will receive support to develop an investible start-up pitch, go-to market strategy and initiative commercial activities for their medical technology innovation. The aim of the centre is to improve the quality of care, efficacy and sustainability of healthcare system.
