Biotech '03 World Expo

The three-day Biotech '03 world expo will be held in Mumbai. Trinity- the organizers of trade & technology exhibitions & conferences – is organizing the world expo from 13-15 June 2003 and the venue is the NSE Complex, Mumbai. The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce will support this event. Biotechnology related themes such as bioinstrumentation, bioinformatics, biobusiness, bioprocessing, neutraceuticals, biodiagnostics, biopharma, agribiotech, investment, institutions, biofuels, R&D, food and venture capital will be discussed in the expo.

Pharmacovigilance- promoting drug safety through collaboration

An international meeting on "Pharmacovigilance – Promoting Drug Safety through Collaboration" will be held on 5-6, December 2003 in Mumbai. Organized by the Drug Controller General of India this meeting will be on the risks and benefits of medicines. The meeting will be preceded by a workshop on " Pharmacovigilance".

Biotech India International 2003

CIDEX Trade Fairs Pvt Ltd and Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) are jointly organizing Biotech India International 2003 in Hyderabad. This will be held from 24-27, September 2003. The exhibhtion site is at the Hyderabad Trade Exhibiton Center (HITEX), near Hitec city.

BIO Venture Forum West 2003

The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is hosting the third annual BIO VentureForum on 14-16, October 2003 in San Francisco at the Palace Hotel. It will showcase the richest representation of the West's most influential and prominent biotechnology product and platform companies. The conference will also feature a track of later-stage companies nearing a public offering and public companies.

CropLife International Annual Conference

In association with EuropaBio, croplife international annual conference is going to happen on 5th June 2003. The venue is Hotel Marriott, Brussels, Belgium. The conference will seek to put the use of agricultural technology into a global context exploring both the technical and societal aspects. Sessions will tackle issues such as global and future perspective on the use of technology in agriculture.

BIO 2003 Annual Convention

Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is organizing the BIO 2003 Annual Convention on 22-25 June 2003. Venue: Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC. This is claimed to be the world's largest gathering of biotechnology leaders. Sessions on bioethics, business development, science and regulatory affairs will be held. This year, for the tenth anniversary convention, the participation expected is between 15,000 and 20,000. A CII delegation led by Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar Shaw is attending the event.
