Thermolab, an ISO 9001 cer- tified company, started by manufacturing standard ov- ens and incubators with an intial staff strength of just 10 employees. In 1992, its activities and product line expanded with a bigger manufacturing facility having an in-house assembly and testing facility to meet the growing demand for laboratory equipment. Over a period of time, its product range expanded from ovens and incubators to stability test chambers, environmental test chamber, lab equipment and waterbaths. The company has a development team with a missionary zeal to indigenously develop superior quality product giving better features with economy.

Thermolab expanded its manufacturing facilities at Vasai, near Mumbai. The company felt the need to standardize the product and to have quality systems in place and hence adopted and successfully implemented the ISO 9001 quality systems. Thermolab is the first company to receive the ISO 9001 Certificate. It also occupies a modern 20,000 sft manufacturing unit with a sophisticated fabrication line, assembly line, quality control department and trained personnel.

It provides technical services for validation and revalidation of the equipment as per various standards. It also provides calibration facility to its customers with certificates verified by Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (West) (ERTL - W) and National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Delhi. Its products are designed as per IS, BIS, IEC, ASTM, JIS, JSS, QM 333, ICH guidelines and other international standards and are manufactured as per GMP Regulations.

Thermolab has a quality control department with specialized people to keep a quality check at each and every stage of production. It has established a customer service cell consisting of an executive customer service cell and competent engineers in Mumbai. It is also coming up with service centers at various locations in India and abroad.

Thermolab looks for technical collaboration with inflow as well as outflow of technology transfer in the field of laboratory equipment and environmental chambers. This technological capability stems from dominance in the R&D arena and quest for quality in this field. There has been no looking back for Thermolab since 1997 as its sales have been on the rise. For the year ending March 2006, its sales reached Rs 22 crore registering a 100 percent growth.
