BioSpectrum India Excellence Awards 2025 celebrates bio-innovation & leadership

Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology (S&T), Government of India inaugurated the BioSpectrum India Excellence Awards 2025 event in New Delhi on 5^th December, to appreciate the Indian companies and individuals for their commendable performances and achievements during FY 23-24 and FY 24-25.

The Minister stressed upon the growing concept of science journalism and communication in India and how BioSpectrum has made a mark for itself in this field, and offering new inspiration. “Science innovation and biotechnology is going to determine the overall growth of economy across the world. Biotechnology will turn out to be the next industrial revolution globally, after IT”, said Dr Singh.

The event also witnessed the gracious presence of Dr Renu Swarup, Former Secretary, Dept of Biotechnology, Govt of India; Dr Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), among other dignitaries.

Along with MMA Spectrum Foundation, BioSpectrum India announced winners for 2 major segments- Jury Awards and Special Recognition Awards, to recognise outstanding individuals, products, and organisations that have made significant contributions across the life sciences sector in India.

Jury Awards

This year, the awardees (for both FY 23-24 and FY 24-25) were selected by a distinguished Jury Panel comprising eminent personalities from across the life sciences domain. Dr Renu Swarup, Former Secretary, Dept of Biotechnology, Govt of India, was the Chairperson of the Jury Panel for the BioSpectrum Excellence Awards 2025.
