The seventh edition of Bangalore INDIA NANO conference concluded in Bangalore today.

The event, which is being organised since 2007, has received tremendous response from Research, Academia and Industry. The 2014 edition of the conference saw over 1000 participants including 550 business delegates.

The conference offered an unparalleled opportunity for business networking and for knowledge sharing in the exciting field of Nanotechnology and it has now evolved as a leading and most sought-after international Nanotech Event in India. Nanotechnology Industry is heralding a new world order. It has been estimated that the market will grow to over $1 Trillion by 2015. It is perceived that after IT and Biotechnology, Nanotechnology is the next sunrise industry for India.

The concluding day of the conference saw six presentations from start-up companies as part of Research Industry Collaboration Hub (RICH). Rajnish Sharma of United Nanotech Innovatiions, Gadhadar Reddy of NoPo Nanotechnologies, and Dr. C Venkatesh of i2n Technologies shared their innovations in the nano space. Similarly, Theivasanthi from Kalasaligam University, Prof Mahaveer Kurkuri from Jain university and Dr. Mrinal Pal from Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute from Kolkata presented their R&D papers to the audience from Academia sector.

Over 30 speakers and research fellows discussed a range of issues pertaining to research, technology development, skills requirement, institutional involvement, issues, regulatory & governance structure, investment and collaborations between R&D, Academia & Industry.
