Edify World School, Attapur, Hyderabad, and St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, have signed a renewable three-year Academic Affiliation Agreement, creating a pathway for eligible Edify students interested in pursuing an international medical education.
Under the agreement, eligible students applying to SGU’s five-year Doctor of Medicine (MD5) track will receive priority application consideration and a guaranteed admissions interview. Students admitted to the track will also be considered for partial merit-based scholarships, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria and terms and conditions.
Students enrolled in SGU’s MD tracks will have access to clinical training opportunities through a network of more than 75+ affiliated hospitals and health centres across the United States and United Kingdom. These experiences provide exposure to diverse healthcare environments and hands-on patient care while helping students develop the clinical knowledge, professionalism, and practical skills required for careers in medicine.
The collaboration comes as more Indian students explore medical education opportunities beyond the country, including in the UK and other international destinations. For Edify students interested in medicine, the affiliation provides an additional pathway to pursue their aspirations abroad, with opportunities to study in a global medical environment and gain clinical experience across healthcare settings in the United States and United Kingdom.
Students who complete their secondary education and meet SGU’s admissions requirements can apply to SGU’s MD5 track. Those admitted can begin their medical education in Grenada or the United Kingdom, allowing them to start their medical journey in an international academic environment from the outset.
