P. D. Hinduja Hospital partners with UP government to strengthen maternal and adolescent healthcare

P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre and the State Transformation Commission, Government of Uttar Pradesh (STC-UP), have joined hands to strengthen maternal and adolescent healthcare across 35 districts of Uttar Pradesh (UP).

The programme was launched by Brajesh Pathak Ji, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Minister, Medical Health & Family Welfare.

The event was held at the Ram Prakash Gupta Maternity & Child State Referral Hospital in Lucknow, where Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Minister, Medical Health & Family Welfare, flagged off a fully equipped Hinduja Mobile Health Unit.

Supported by qualified clinical and technical teams, the unit will provide point-of-care diagnostics, counselling and referral support. STC-UP will facilitate district-level coordination, administrative approvals and access to schools and community sites, supporting the programme’s integration with the state health system.

The programme will focus on two key beneficiary groups: Matrishakti, comprising pregnant and lactating women under the Mukhyamantri Matritva Suraksha Sankalp Yojna, and Yuva, covering adolescents aged 13–19 years in government and aided schools as well as community settings.

Through this partnership, P. D. Hinduja Hospital and the Government of Uttar Pradesh aim to strengthen maternal and adolescent healthcare across the state, with a focus on improving access to screening, timely care and greater health awareness.
