“Deep-tech leadership is not built by isolated breakthroughs; it is built by ecosystems that enable science to scale into solutions. Karnataka has consistently invested in creating that ecosystem—where researchers, startups, industry and government work in partnership to turn innovation into economic opportunity. Bengaluru INDIA NANO embodies that approach” said Dr N. Manjula, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, BT and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony of Bengaluru INDIA NANO 2026, India's flagship international conference and exhibition on nanotechnology, she said “As nanotechnology converges with AI and other frontier technologies, we are committed to ensuring that Karnataka remains the place where the world’s next generation of deep-tech solutions is conceived, commercialised and scaled.”
Organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka, Karnataka Science & Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), the 14th Edition of Bengaluru INDIA NANO concluded on August 5 after three days of scientific exchange, technology showcases and international collaboration.
Centred around the theme "Nanotech's Next Frontier: AI & Beyond – Conceive, Converge, Commercialize," Bengaluru INDIA NANO 2026 explored the convergence of nanotechnology with artificial intelligence and other frontier technologies, while highlighting their transformative applications across semiconductors, healthcare, agriculture, energy and environmental sustainability.
The successful conclusion of the 14th edition reinforces Bengaluru INDIA NANO's role as India's premier platform for nanoscience and nanotechnology, fostering interdisciplinary research, promoting technology commercialisation, encouraging international collaboration and strengthening Karnataka's position as a global hub for advanced science, deep technology and innovation.
