FemCare brand Healthfab invests Rs 15 Cr to open manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh

Bengaluru-based FemCare brand Healthfab has announced signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government to acquire 2 acres of land in Kuppam, Chittoor District to launch their second manufacturing plant for a range of period care panties.

The company plans to invest Rs 15 crore in the unit with an aim to generate over 700 direct and indirect employment. The expenditure will be spread across factory infrastructure, advanced manufacturing equipment, modern technology, quality assurance infrastructure and workforce development

The proposed manufacturing plant will house Healthfab's vertically integrated manufacturing facility, including production units, quality testing, warehousing, research & development and administrative infrastructure.

With a monthly capacity of over 4 lakh period care panties, the company also plans to design and manufacture reusable period panties, disposable period panties and other products that are currently in the pipeline.

Commenting on the signing of MoU, Kiriti Acharjee, Co-founder, CEO, Healthfab said, “This will be our second manufacturing facility with the first one being at Bangalore. As we build this unit, we will focus on sustainability being an important pillar in the overall design and development. The facility is being planned with energy-efficient machinery, responsible waste management and recycling practices, water conservation measures, reduced manufacturing waste through optimised production, and environmentally responsible sourcing and packaging.”

Healthfab recently raised Rs 20 crore in Series A round led by Atomic Capital. The company is on a trajectory to reach an ARR of Rs 100 crore within the next 100 days. Healthfab is backed by Mistry Ventures and Beyondseed of Singapore.
