HCG Cancer Centre in Bengaluru has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samraksha – Thalassemia Day Care Centre. The agreement focuses on providing subsidised Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT), primarily benefiting economically disadvantaged pediatric patients battling thalassemia.
The partnership will be further strengthened by the support of the Coal India Foundation, which will provide crucial financial assistance to ensure that deserving children under the age of 12 receive free treatment.
This collaboration focuses on providing a comprehensive solution for thalassemia patients, combining clinical expertise with financial support. Under the MoU, Samraksha and Rashtrotthana Hospital will identify eligible patients, providing them with holistic support throughout their treatment journey, while HCG Cancer Centre will offer the necessary infrastructure and clinical expertise to perform Bone Marrow Transplants.
Additionally, the partnership is further strengthened by the Coal India Foundation, which will provide financial assistance for deserving patients under the age of 12, ensuring they receive free treatment and have access to life-changing care at HCG Cance Centre Bengaluru. This combined effort aims to improve the long-term outcomes for thalassemia patients and offer them the possibility of a cure, reducing their dependency on regular blood transfusions.
