Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), India’s largest single-speciality chain focused on Uro-Nephro care, marks a new milestone with the expansion of its flagship hospital in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
The flagship hospital has a combined capacity of 150 beds, 4 Operating Rooms, 34 dialysis beds, and new-generation robotic technology for complex Urology and Nephrology surgeries, making it the largest corporate hospital in this single speciality across India.
With an outlay of Rs 150 crore earmarked for growth-related capital expenditure this year, AINU is set to accelerate its expansion footprint, enhance operational capabilities, and reinforce the foundation for its next phase of growth.
The burden of urological diseases is rising rapidly in developing nations, with India at the forefront due to increasing lifestyle disorders such as hypertension, obesity, and diabetes, along with higher life expectancy. Urological conditions - from bladder and kidney diseases to cancers - affect men, women, and children alike. In India, 50–60% of men over 60 have benign prostatic enlargement (BPH), while prostate cancer, now the country’s second most common cancer in men, is growing at 2.5% annually.
Vishal Bali, Executive Chairman at Asia Healthcare Holdings, said, “The rising incidence of Urology & Nephrology issues in the Indian subcontinent requires a specialised approach to meet the growth opportunity in this speciality. Through the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology we are building India’s leading single-speciality hospital network in this speciality, backed by highly qualified clinicians and state-of-the-art technology. With an outlay of Rs 150 crore capital expenditure earmarked for growth in FY 26-27, AINU is set to open 3-4 new urology and nephrology hospitals across India. This strategic investment will accelerate the company’s national expansion, strengthen its current infrastructure, and reinforce its position as a leader in single-speciality healthcare.”
