Pune-based Jagruti Rehabilitation Centre, one of India's largest organised mental health, addiction and dementia care provider platform, has raised Rs 28 crore in Series A funding led by Alkemi Growth Capital, a Delhi-based venture capital fund focused on healthcare and consumer wellness.
The investment marks Jagruti’s first institutional funding round; the organisation built its network through internal accruals.
The funding comes amid growing demand for structured, clinically led rehabilitation and mental healthcare in India. The sector however, remains fragmented, with care largely delivered through standalone clinics and smaller independent establishments, creating an opportunity for organised providers that can deliver consistent clinical standards at scale.
The investment will support Jagruti’s entry into new geographies, expansion of clinical and staff capacity, specialised care programmes, and deeper insurance and corporate partnerships. The organisation plans to grow to 40+ centres and 4,000+ beds across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities over the next 3-4 years.
The investment strengthens Alkemi’s presence in healthcare delivery and adjacent healthcare segments. Its portfolio includes Redcliffe Labs in diagnostics, Medvital in medical devices, Datar Cancer Genetics in IVD deeptech, Medulance in emergency medical response, Alphadroid in autonomous mobility robots, and Leumas in physical-AI for pharma manufacturing. Jagruti marks Alkemi’s first investment in the mental health and rehabilitation segment in healthcare delivery.
