British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin UK inks MoU with Shri Balaji Institute of Neuroscience and Trauma, Hubli

To upskill Indian nurses and clinicians at primary and secondary care levels to UK standards

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin UK and Shri Balaji Institute of Neurosciences and Trauma, Hubli to provide UK standard super-specialisation post-graduate medical education and training in general surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery and critical care to Indian clinicians and training for nurses in intensive & emergency room care and announcement of BAPIO’s multi-million commercial partnerships with leading Indian hospitals.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Parag Singhal, Executive Director BAPIO Training Academy UK with D. Kranthi Kiran, Chief Neurosurgeon and Chairman, Shri Balaji Institute of Neuroscience and Trauma, Hubli in presence of Prof. Sir. Stephen Powis, NHS England National Medical Director & Anna Shotbolt, Deputy Trade Commissioner, South Asia (Exports).

The MoU's objective is to upskill Indian nurses and clinicians at primary and secondary care levels to UK standards, promote professional clinical excellence and knowledge exchange, improve capacity and capability of nurses in Northern Karnataka and helping nurses & clinicians grow and expand their horizons while providing best in class health education and training in India. The MoU will also deepen academic-collaboration, improve patient safety and create joint-research opportunities between India and the UK.
