Expected to roll out enhanced AI-powered report experience by August-end or early September 2026

Orange Health Labs, India’s on-demand diagnostics platform, has announced a new AI-powered initiative aimed at making diagnostic reports more personalised and easier for consumers to understand, as part of its new brand positioning, ‘Speed Meets Science’.

The company is developing an AI-led layer that combines current test results with historical reports and relevant clinical context to provide consumers with a more comprehensive view of their health. Instead of simply highlighting individual parameters as normal or abnormal, the system is designed to identify trends and correlations across multiple biomarkers and body systems.

“We are working towards a world where every report is going to feel like a personalised letter to you, from our doctor to you, saying what is going on with you and whether your current condition is worsening or getting better,” said Dhruv Gupta, Co-founder, Orange Health Labs.

The initiative will also allow consumers to upload reports generated by other diagnostic providers. These reports can be incorporated into their health history on the Orange Health platform, enabling users to build a longitudinal view of their health rather than relying on individual test reports.

Orange Health Labs is expected to roll out the enhanced AI-powered report experience by the end of August or early September 2026.

The company currently uses AI to flag reports requiring additional attention, while doctors retain responsibility for final clinical decisions. Around 70 per cent of its reports are auto-approved through automated workflows, while the remaining reports are flagged for further review.

The company said the AI system is designed to assist doctors rather than independently diagnose patients. Positive flags generated by the system are reviewed by doctors before results are released, while clinician feedback is used to improve the models.

The initiative forms part of Orange Health Labs’ broader strategy to combine diagnostics, technology and longitudinal health data to give consumers a more accessible understanding of their health.
