To accelerate innovation at the intersection of AI and life sciences

The IT BT Department, Karnataka Government, continues to strengthen the state’s deep-tech ecosystem with the approval of a Rs 20 crore Centre of Excellence (CoE) for artificial intelligence (AI) in Biotechnology at Electronics City, Bengaluru.

Implemented over 4 years in collaboration with Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), the initiative will accelerate innovation at the intersection of AI and life sciences.

The AI Centre will offer labs, tools and expertise to help startups and researchers grow faster and build better products.

This initative will strengthen the state's research ecosystem, accelerate innovation, and enable Karnataka to lead in high-impact, next-generation technologies.
