In a groundbreaking event, Ahmedabad-based startup Torchit, in collaboration with over 30 Rotary Clubs from Delhi, successfully launched Jyoti AI product and distributed 1500 Saarthi devices to visually impaired individuals.

The event was held at the PHD Chamber of Commerce in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, and witnessed the participation of more than 300 attendees, including Rotary members, Rotaract members, government officials, representatives from AIIMS, and over 20 NGO heads.

Hunny Bhagchandani, Founder of Torchit, explained the challenges faced by the visually impaired and how the Saarthi device aids in mobility. He also launched the revolutionary Jyoti AI, which allows users to 'see' with sound, providing functionalities such as object, colour, and currency identification, along with live demonstrations.

Jyoti AI is an advanced assistive technology that provides object, colour, and currency identification, scene description, and educational support through the Jyoti AI Reader. Available in various models, it is designed to be affordable and versatile.

Utilising over 1200 algorithms trained on Gemini AI, powered by Google, Jyoti AI can describe complex scenes with high detail, answering questions about the environment and people’s interactions.
