The last fiscal saw Shimadzu Analytical India launching a series of new innovative products in the market. The company gained a sizeable market share with its new
integrated I-series LC system. By launching its new product GCMSTQ8040 Gas Chromatograph Mass spectrometer, Shimadzu strengthened its position in the analytical products market. Few other products launched by the firm included
LCMS-8050, Crude2Pure System that featured excellent productivity, attracting the attention of global pharma, and other lifescience companies.

Few of the other major achievements of the firm included the completion of a new quality center to promote the provision of high quality reliable products. Though the firm focused on lifesciences, it is also constantly cultivating new business opportunities in global energy, automotive and IT by promoting leading-edge seed   technology development. One such initiative by the company was establishing a strategic collaboration with the National University of Singapore Environmental Research Institute, to conduct research on environmental contaminants. Shimadzu recently launched its new high resolution scanning probe microscope SPM-8000FM
to cater to the needs of nanotech industries. 

Extensive research and innovation by the firm has helped develop newer products and services to compete in the market. The firm's recent research on monoclonal antibodies was considered as a breakthrough in the field of medical technology.
