Bhat Bio-Tech India is specialized in the design development, manufacture and marketing of diagnostic products and biotechnology based products. Diagnostic test devices are for various types of tests like, Pregnancy, HIV, Hepatitis, Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Swine Flu (H1N1), Syphilis, TB, Cardiac Markers, Dry Chemistry, Bio-Chemistry, Haematology & Immunology and ELISA's used in the analysis of body fluids in human.

The Bangalore-based firm clocked Rs 22.78 crore in the FY 15-16 a slight increase from Rs 22.46 crore in FY14-15. Domestic sales contributed majorly in the revenue with Rs 20.89 crore and the rest Rs 1.89 crore is by exports.

In Life Science related products Bhat Bio-Tech manufacture and market Genomics (DNA, RNA), Proteomics and Lab Instruments. Now, it plans to bring the molecular diagnostics to the point of care. State-of-the-art Molecular Diagnostic kits, reagents and instruments are being developed and marketed. PCR Machines and i-PCR, the real time machine in less than 20 minutes is the company's latest invention and will be launched shortly.

Bhat Bio-Tech also offers contract manufacturing, third party labelling, and contract research. Our products are manufactured with International Standards. Also we have ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CE and GMP certifications.

 

In the last fiscal, the firm garnered key clients like, Piramal Enterprises; Monarch Scientific, TATA Africa, The UNOPS Myanmar OC, MHS Pharma, HLL Life Science.
Bhat Bio-Tech also launched PCR and i-PCR machine; Bhat Bio-Scan Anti ABD, Malaria PAN (PF, PV, Pm, Po) antigen test. It has built a PCR machine completely indigenously and are now developing an electrical method for the detection of DNA amplification measuring the impedance of the PCR solution. The firm is also working on developing an instrument for the measurement of glycated hemoglobin.

As per the company, contract manufacturing; OEM business helped in the growth of its bioscience business.

In the future, Bhat Bio-Tech is looking for development of probes based on a human BAC library for the diagnosis of disease for use in situ hybridization and in microarray; validation of kits for the detection of PCR kits; DNA and RNA Purification Kits, Agriculture Pathogen Detection Kits.
