Thieme India inks agreement with UK-based EIDO Healthcare

19 August 2022 | News

The most advanced and easy-to-use digital consent solutions will be made available to patients and the healthcare facilities in India

Thieme India, a leading medical publishing company, has signed a partnership agreement with UK’s EIDO Healthcare, a specialist in digital consent solutions. The signing of the partnership agreement was carried out in the presence of officials from the Department for International Trade, Permanent Secretary James Bowler and Deputy Trade Commissioner Anna Shotbolt.

The Department of International Trade took to Twitter to congratulate by stating “Congratulations to EIDOhealthcare and ThiemeIndia on their partnership to introduce an innovative digital solution, bridging the existing gap in patient consent and awareness. Partnerships like these will further strengthen healthcare trade & investment opportunities in the UK.”

"With this agreement, we would now be able to bring the most advanced and yet easy-to-use digital consent solutions to patients and the healthcare facilities in India. With COVID-19 precipitating an all-around pivot to the digitalisation of healthcare in the country, a shift to digital consent solutions from the traditional paper-based consent is a natural course of development. We need to capitalise on this ongoing momentum. Given the ever-increasing cases of doctor-patient scuffles and incidents and the relative lack of awareness about digital consent solutions among healthcare facilities and patients in India, this would help in addressing that gap,” said, Dr NitendraSesodia, Senior Director, Medical Communications & Corporate Sales, Thieme India
