KR Hospital in Mysore upgrades critical care infra via Dozee's MillionICU Initiative

35 Step-Down ICU beds installed to create smart wards; facilitating continuous critical care for 1000+ patients over the next three months

Dozee’s MillionICU, an initiative that addresses the massive shortage of ICU beds and staff in public hospitals has upgraded 35 normal beds into step-down ICUs in Krishna Rajendra Hospital in Mysuru district to facilitate critical care for 1000+ patients over the next three months. Dozee has also set up a 24x7 Central Monitoring Cell at the hospital which enables healthcare staff to monitor multiple patients remotely from gynaecology and surgical ICU departments who were previously monitored manually only every couple of hours.

The MillionICU initiative was launched to enable public hospitals to tide over the COVID-19 crisis in the short term and bring about a rapid, long-term transformation in India’s public healthcare infrastructure. Under the initiative, hospital beds will be installed with Dozee’s contactless sensors powered by an AI-based triaging system that enables continuous (more than 100 times per hour) and accurate monitoring of a patient’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and other clinical parameters like sleep apnea and myocardial performance metrics without coming in contact with the patient. By setting up such a connected healthcare system Dozee aims to digitalise the health monitoring as well as to improve the ICU throughput. MillionICU has been recently recognized as the best Indigenous COVID Response Project at the 5th CSR Health Impact Awards organised by IHW Council.
