ZEISS congratulates Nobel Prize winners

They received the prize for the development of super resolved fluorescence microscopy

ZEISS congratulates Dr Eric Betzig, Dr Stefan Hell, and Dr William Moerner on winning the 2014 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The scientists received the prize for the development of super resolved fluorescence microscopy.

ZEISS is particularly excited about the recognition given to Dr Eric Betzig's work, which led to the development of the first commercially available super resolution microscope based on company's photo-activated localization microscopy (PALM) technology. The ZEISS ELYRA microscope system enables the imaging of fluorescence signals with resolution of just a few 10s of nanometers by sequentially activating and deactivating fluorescence proteins.
