Agilent technologies has announced the launch of SureGuide Kits, a technology which represents the first integrated solution for In-Vitro CRISPR/Cas9 Research, with gRNA design and gRNA synthesis.

The SureGuide family of tools will enable in-vitro cloning of large genes or complex DNA mixtures without the limitations imposed by common restriction enzymes or PCR fidelity.

"SureGuide provides a simple, integrated tool set designed to expand access to this remarkable technology by making it easier for scientists to integrate CRISPR/Cas9 in their everyday cloning workflows," said Mr Alessandro Borsatti, senior director, marketing, Agilent's diagnostics and genomics solutions. He added, "SureGuide enables truly programmable, customizable cloning specificity while improving on the efficiency scientists expect from current nuclease technologies."

It is the first product in the company's genome editing and engineering portfolio. The company will be releasing other products specifically targeted to synthetic biology and functional genomics.
