The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) is inviting applications for two prestigious awards-
Here are the important dates for the awards:
Dr. Yellapragada Subbarow FABA Young Innovator Award 2024, honoured with an unrestricted research grant of Rs 5,00,000, recognises and celebrates young scientists under 35 years who have made innovative contributions in drug discovery or the translation of research into impactful prototypes/products in biotechnology.
Dr. Yellapragada Subbarow's contributions to healthcare have been transformative. His relentless pursuit to understand and combat 'tropical sprue' led him to the discovery of folic acid as a remedy for this debilitating disease.
On the other hand, Dr. Yellapragada Subbarow GEM (Govin Entrepreneurship Management) Award for Doctoral Students in Life Sciences stands as a mark of excellence for outstanding doctoral students who excel in their scientific work with potential for significant societal impact.
FABA encourages applications that demonstrate basic and applied research with the potential or demonstrated utility for addressing unmet needs as evidenced by peer-reviewed scientific publications, patents or feasibility product studies.
