Analytica-Anacon 2004
The second international trade fair and conference for analytical instrumentation, biotechnology, laboratory technology and services, Analytica-Anacon 2004, will be held from November 25-27, 2004 at Nehru center in Worli, Mumbai. This fair provides a platform for analytical instruments and laboratory technology in India and will offer a meeting point for buyers and sellers from a wide cross section of the industry.
The themes for the conference are industrial analysis, biotechnology and lab automation. Experts from the industrial, scientific and research sectors are expected to attend the fair and the concurrent conference.

Biologic Asia 2004
Biologic Asia 2004 is being held from November 17-19, 2004 at Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore. The event focuses on the Asian biological manufacturing sector. Rapid Microbial Methods
IBC is organizing a conference on "Rapid Microbial Methods" from December 1-2 2004 in Emerald Plaza at San Diego, CA. The event will address issues related to regulations, technologies and practical applications for better quality control of manufacturing processes. In addition, there will be 2 mini-tutorials held during the conference. Bio-Europe 2004
BioEurope 2004 will be held on November 8-10, 2004 at Cologne in Germany. It is one of Europe's largest international partnering conferences, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The conference provides a forum where international decision makers in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and financial sector can meet to initiate or develop partnerships among their companies. Bio-Europe operates a software system that allows attendees to preselect and meet with potential partners and focuses on issues relevant to partnering (e.g., deal making, finance and clinical development). Over 3,300 meetings were prescheduled at its conference last year in Frankfurt. The event provides an opportunity to attendees to present their company backgrounds and partnering goals to everyone in attendance.

Biology In Asia
An international conference, "Biology In Asia", co-organized by The Singapore Institute of Biology; Department of Biological Sciences (National University of Singapore); and the National Institute of Education (Nanyang Technological University) will be held from December 7-10 2004, in Singapore. The conference aims to provide a platform for interaction and exchange of the ideas and techniques in the business of biology-from the fields of education, to research, and to applied biology-especially with respect to Asia. The three sub-themes for the conference are "biodiversity, ecology and conservation in Asia"; "biotechnology in Asia"; and "biology education in Asia". The event marks the 30th anniversary of The Singapore Institute of Biology (SIBiol) in 2004.
