Bangalore to host 'All India Health Expo' from May 3

In order to educate people on ways to negotiate their health-life 'Manomya Media House' is organizing three-day 'All India Health Expo', with a theme of 'Reach 20-20, Universal Access to Health Care' at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore from May 3, 2013. About 200 healthcare firms across the globe are taking part in the three-day Expo.

Noted heart surgeon and director of Fortis Hospital Dr. Vivek Javali, Dr. Venkataramana from BGS Global Hospital, Dr. Shanthanu Chattopadhyaya, Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Primary Health Care Services, Mr Manimaran Rajakannu, global head, Wipro Technology and others will participate in the symposium. Dr.Neeraj Patil, Former Mayor of Lambeth and Mr Sham Banerji, CEO i2i Solutions will be making key note presenation. In addition, Dr.Balachandra Keni, MD Sagar Hospitals will be addressing the issue on Universal reach of Human Health Practitioners. During the three days the doctors and experts from various divisions of the healthcare sectors will share their experience and knowledge besides presenting the papers on several issues.

Mr Lingaraju S.Patel, Managing Director, Manomya Media House said, "One of the few main aims of the Expo is to examine, discuss and recommend the broad strategies on achieving universal health coverage in the country. The Expo will provide a forum for discussion among doctors, public health experts, scientists, health administrators, solution providers and healthcare entrepreneurs on effective and appropriate strategies on universal coverage. At least 100 medicos from several reputed hospitals will also take part in the Expo."

The expo would comprise of over 200 stalls spread over an area of 1.6 lakh square meters. A good number of local as well as international healthcare brands from various sections of the healthcare sector including pharmaceutical companies, medical devices companies, organizations in medical publishing, hospital management, telemedicine, healthcare IT and other related industries will display their products, solutions and capabilities.

"A good number of doctors, experts in the medical field, people from different sectors and companies will participate in the Expo, which will offer an opportunity for both delegates and general public to interact with each other to know more about healthcare issues," said Dr.Prabhu Dev, Chairman, Karnataka Health Commission while releasing the brochure about the Expo along with Dr.Chinmay Chigateri, co-founder, HealthMinds on March 16.

"Entry is free for the public. Experts from the prestigious hospitals would examine the health conditions of the attendants during the Expo. People can use the Expo as a platform to discuss their health issues with the doctors and seek their suggestions, "Mr Patel added.

Agencies such as Indian Dental Association (IDA) Bangalore chapter, Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (PHNA), Karnataka Udyog Mitra (KUM), Karnataka Health Commission (KHC), Nation-wide and Health Mind have joined their hand for the grand success of the Expo.
