GVK Biosciences appoints Manni Kantipudi as President

GVK Biosciences (GVK BIO) has appointed Manni Kantipudi as president. Manni will be responsible for operations and help GVK BIO grow as a cutting edge service provider to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Manni Kantipudi comes to GVK BIO with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry where he held several leadership positions. He was with Intel Corporation since 1992 and was the first Director of Intel India from 2000-2003 where he was responsible for strategic and operational aspects of starting, growing and sustaining its R&D development center in Bangalore. From 2003-2004, he was Asia CIO (Chief Information Officer) responsible for all internal IT for the Greater Asia region including Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines and South Asia.

Most recently, he was based in the US as Director of Software and Validation for Intel's core WiFi technology Centrino laptop product line where he managed a global team of engineers and was responsible for innovative product designs and bringing key Intel products to market. Kantipudi has done his Bachelors in Computer Engineering and Masters in Computer Science.

 

Dr Ganesh M Kishore joins Burrill & Company

Dr Ganesh M Kishore has joined Burrill & Company as its managing director. Dr Kishore joins the company to focus on Burrill's activities in Malaysia, India, and the AgBio, health and wellness, industrial biotech and biofuels sectors, in addition to Burrill & Company's general life science focus.

"We are delighted to have Kish on board. His exceptional experience in the agricultural, industrial biotech, biofuels and life sciences industry particularly at the leading edge of research will be invaluable for our Venture Group at Burrill," said G Steven Burrill, CEO of Burrill & Company,.

Prior to joining Burrill, Dr Kishore served as vice president, science and technology and chief biotechnology officer of DuPont. Prior to this he was the vice president, technology, for DuPont agriculture and nutrition. He joined DuPont in June 2003 and was focusing on R&D efforts related to biotechnology within the company. Dr Kishore earlier served as co-president, nutrition and consumer sector and as assistant chief scientist for Monsanto, which he joined in 1980.

Dr Kishore is a founder of the plant biotech and informatics company, Metahelix Life Sciences. Dr Kishore also serves as the chairperson for the St. Louis RCGA's Bioenergy group.
