Expanding precision medicine, ARTIS icono is designed to enable a wide procedure mix in a single interventional suite
German firm Siemens Healthineers is expanding its offerings in India, with a multidisciplinary angiography system ARTIS icono. The new ARTIS icono system adapts flexibly to the differing needs of cardiovascular interventions, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, and vascular interventions.
In addition to the multidisciplinary approach, connectivity and digitalization of interventional labs are becoming increasingly important. The ARTIS icono provides a uniform interface to enable system parameters to be shared easily with devices from other manufacturers with its Third-Party Broker solution.
It comes with OPTIQ imaging which enables constant image quality regardless of procedure, patient size, or C-arm angulation. It uses a contrast-driven technique based on automatic parametrization and intelligent, self-adjusting algorithms ensuring the ALARA dose principle
The angiography system is enabled with significantly superior 2D and 3D imaging, improving image quality, and reducing the radiation required. With an enhanced movement of the C-arm with Sine Spin, the cranial base and skull cap can now be depicted with practically no artifacts in a 3D visualization.
As per an independent study on Burden of Strokes in India, stroke burden in India is quite high. One of the major reasons for this is restricted physical activity, higher intake of processed food and increase workplace stress leading to development of type-2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyper-lipedema. Timely and accurate diagnosis of neurological disorders will help provide the best treatment to patients. ARTIS icono Biplane will help stroke centers deal with dual challenge of treating more patients, faster with greater accuracy.
