Healthcare chain GNRC appoints Dr Vinoth Kumar as Group Chief Supply Chain Officer

GNRC Hospitals, the largest healthcare chain in North East, has appointed Dr Vinoth Kumar as Group Chief Supply Chain Officer, effective 6th October. Prior to that, Dr Kumar held leadership positions at Apollo Hospitals Group, Global Health City and Jehangir Hospitals.

Dr Kumar is a seasoned healthcare supply chain management professional, an innovator, author, researcher, and a sustainability advocate. His career is marked by a unique blend of academic, research, and industry experience, spanning more than two decades. He has held various leadership roles in internationally renowned healthcare institutions, including Apollo Hospitals Group, Global Health City, and KIMS Health.

Dr Kumar has received numerous awards and accolades from organisations both within the country and abroad. A remarkable achievement is his recognition in the India Book of Records (IBR), Asia Book of Records (ABR), World Book of Records (UK) and Guinness World Records. Notably, he is the first healthcare supply chain management professional in India to achieve this feat.

He is also the inaugural healthcare management professional in India to be awarded with World Book of Records (UK) and the prestigious Guinness World Records. Furthermore, he holds the distinction of being the first healthcare supply chain management professional in India to be awarded the Level 3 (Highest) Badge, “Qimpro Certified Qualitist”, by the Qimpro Foundation.

He has pioneered the innovative concept of 4D MUSIC Model for achieving healthcare sustainability, earning him the “Best Innovator Award” and “Sustainability Champion Award” in healthcare.
