She has championed the cause of women's right
Most Women hesitate to approach courts or the police to enforce their rights. Flavia Agnes, through her organisation Majlis, has championed the cause of women's right and provided high quality, expert legal opinion to over 200,000 women and children who have suffered acute abuse.
To honour her contributions and achievements in this space, she has been awarded the Anjani Mashelkar Inspiration Award 2019.
Anjani Mashelkar Inspiration Award is an annual award honouring the inspiring life and work of an elderly Indian woman hero, given under the aegis of international Longevity Centre-India.
