IIT based startup develops hygiene device for women

The device will protect the women from diseases such as Urinary Tract Infection.

A startup incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) has developed a cheap and affordable device Sanfe- stand and pee’ for the women to have a nature’s call in the public toilets.

The device will protect the women from diseases such as Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) cause due to poor sanitation and unhygienic condition of the public toilets.

The pee-safe device which was tested and approved by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be available for just Rs 10. With launching the device the team has also launched a campaign -’Stand Up For Yourself’ to aware the women about safe pee and sanitation.
